I woke up 10 minutes later than usual and while rushing to get dressed for work I found a pair of my girlfriend`s socks (yellow and red checkered pattern) which i hurriedly put on. They fit like a dream. Being half-asleep ,the discovery of a colourful sock that clashed with my usual black/navy blue sockwear, filled me with momentary guilt-ridden gratification.

To my surprise when I got at work I discovered that there was no yellow on my socks,the pattern itself was red and pastel pink on black. I also came to realise that the original yellow and red pattern would have looked equally ridiculous.
